On Saturday, May 25, at 8:30 AM, the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) executed a vital operation to monitor areas affected by catastrophic floods in Rio Grande do Sul. A KC-390 Millennium aircraft transported a trailer with drones for mapping and monitoring the impacted regions. This equipment, belonging to the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA), will support Civil Defense activities in the severely affected state. The aircraft took off from Brasília Air Base heading to Canoas Air Base.

The rapid mobilization of the FAB ensured the swift delivery of essential equipment and infrastructure to the flood zones. The trailer is fully equipped with accommodations for drone pilots, including two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, TV, air conditioning, and internet access, serving as a Command and Control Center for field operations with Remotely Piloted Aircraft.
